About the Role

As the Maintenance Officer Entry Level, you will be responsible for undertaking routine maintenance and grounds work to ensure the appearance and condition of the Aged Care Facility or Retirement Village buildings are well-maintained. You will perform repair operations, respond to resident’s requests, and monitor stock levels of maintenance materials. You will assist with record maintenance and comply with health and safety requirements while performing maintenance and gardening activities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Undertakes general building maintenance including repairing furniture, doors, locks, curtains, lights, sinks, toilets and other equipment.
  • Maintains cleanliness, functionality and orderly presentation of gardens and common areas across Bolton Clarke Aged Care Facility or Retirement Village.
  • Provides timely and professional communication and assistance to residents regarding maintenance issues, repairs, installations, and other requests.
  • Complies with health and safety requirements and protocols while performing maintenance and gardening activities, ensuring safe working environment.

About You

To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:

  • Minimal experience as a Maintenance Officer is preferred.
  • Stong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Standards.
  • Proficient in Facilities Maintenance, Repair Techniques, Plant Operations, and Maintenance Equipment Management skills.
  • Excellent Communication, Operational Effectiveness, Customer Experience and Planning and Prioritisation skills.
